Privacy Policy — OnlineComponents Search Connector for Claude

This policy describes how OnlineComponents ("we," "us") handles data when you connect Claude to the OnlineComponents Search connector ("the Connector").

What data we receive

When you use the Connector, we may receive and process:

• Account identity: your OnlineComponents account identifier, provided via OAuth 2.0 when you authenticate.
• Search queries: the manufacturer names, part numbers, or keywords you ask Claude to look up.
• Request metadata: timestamps and which tool/action was invoked (e.g. "search," "check stock," "compare parts"), for logging and abuse-prevention purposes.

We do not receive the full content of your conversation with Claude — only the specific queries and parameters Claude sends to our server to fulfill a request.

How we use this data

• To search our catalog and return accurate stock, pricing, and part data in response to your requests.
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the Connector.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms of service.

We do not use data collected through the Connector for advertising, and we do not sell this data to third parties.

Data retention

• Search queries and request logs are retained for [30 DAYS] for operational and security purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
• OAuth tokens are retained only as long as your connection remains active. You can revoke access at any time (see below).

Data sharing

We do not share data collected through the Connector with third parties, except:

• Where required by law.
• With service providers who help us operate our infrastructure (e.g. cloud hosting), under confidentiality obligations.

Your controls

• Revoke access: you can disconnect the Connector at any time from Claude's Settings → Connectors, or by revoking access from your OnlineComponents account settings.
• Delete your data: to request deletion of data associated with your account, contact [TechSupport@onlinecomponents.com].

Security

Authentication uses OAuth 2.0; we do not receive or store your OnlineComponents password through the Connector. Access tokens are transmitted over HTTPS and scoped to the minimum permissions needed for the Connector to function.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
