Honeywell Introduces SMART Position Sensor, 75 mm Linear Configuration

Honeywell is pleased to announce its SMART Position Sensor, 75 mm Linear Configuration, the most accurate and durable linear position device available in the industry.

 The SMART Position Sensor is Honeywell's first non-contacting linear position sensor for general sales that allows unparalleled accuracy and reliability in applications that require measurement of any linear movement. With this launch, Honeywell has utilized MR technology through the ASIC at a level never before accomplished.

SMART means that this is a sensor that can essentially think for itself. The SMART Position Sensor has the ability to self-calibrate because it uses a patented combination of an ASIC and an array of magnetoresistive (MR) sensors to accurately and reliably determine the position of a magnet attached to a moving object (e.g., elevator, valve, machinery, etc.) so that the object's position can be determined.
